ColdTi - Torch Test Timelapse

0
0
House fires typically burn at up to 1000°F. Here we put a ColdTi plate under a MAPP gas torch which flame burns at approximately 2500°F.

After a couple of minutes under the flame you can see the titanium plate change color. Titanium color change when heated is consistent and allows us to see the maximum temperature the titanium experienced.

In this test the temperature exceeds 1200°F and as shown there is zero degradation of the stamped numbers.

The melting temperature of titanium is in excess of 3000°F.

ColdTi plates will withstand extreme temperatures in buidling fires for a very long time!
