We chatted about how standards (technical ones as well as UX best practices) can improve the bitcoin user experience. What they are, how they come into existence, how we can think about them as a community, and whether to promote certain standards.
This topic was has been in the air for a some time, ever since the BitcoinQR project, then again with When Taproot, and also with conversations around adoption of multi-language recovery phrases.
There is now a group forming around investigating BOLT12 and async payments, to see what may/can/should be done around promoting their adoption. For more info, join the #bolt12-async-ux channel in Slack.
