This is a Bitcoin & Co. live recording from the worlds first lightning conference that has been taking place this weekend in Berlin. For the first time around 500 lightning and bitcoin engineers, researches, developers, businesses, hardware builders and enthusiasts gathered to discuss and work on new projects. Two days packed with interesting talks, workshops and panels. You can find the live streams of most talks on YouTube in the conference channel.

I had the honour to moderate the “Lightning Hardware and Nodes” Panel on day 2. Due to technical problems, it could not be live streamed, but here is the audio. Thanks to Christian Rotzoll for recording. And kudos to Jonathan Cross, Justin Moon, Dario Duran and Viktor Bunin for reviewing my questions.

Now listen to four panelists who represented four devices:

Ketominer – nodl Box, Stacie Waleyko – Casa Node, Christian Rotzoll – RaspiBlitz and Sebastian Küng – BitBoxBase.

07:06

Is your device able to verify bitcoin transactions?

08:38

A lightning node should be online 24/7, how does your device handle the fact that it is offline sometimes?
