We take libertarianism all the way to its logical conclusion. That means we don’t want the state to exist for anything. This includes ways to handle criminals. Libertarianism answers the question of what constitutes a crime very well, but it’s not quite obvious what to do once we think we know who the criminal is. How do we deter crime and deal with those who commit crime without violating anyone’s rights and using unnecessary violence?
