My guest is Ricky Allardice, Co-founder of Bitvice a South African bitcoin broker in Cape Town. A former financial advisor he turned away from the legacy industry to foster Bitcoin adoption and self-custody in his home country. We're discussing the reasons why South Africa is one of the countries with the highest adoption rate and at the same time a low number of full nodes, the importance of self-custody, the Lightning Network and the situation in the Central African Republic.
